In May, we were delighted to welcome the wonderful Kay and her team, from Parent Carers Cornwall, who were able to use the large open space for their Transition & Preparing for Adulthood event.
‘Parent Carers Cornwall (PCC) is a Community Interest Company run by parent carers for parent carers and is the nationally and locally recognised Parent Carer Forum for Cornwall.

‘We enable families to have a voice through parent participation, where their voice is heard about the needs of families with SEND in Cornwall, offering training to empower our parent carers with confidence in attending meetings supported by a buddying system.

‘We work in co-production, which happens when families work with their local authorities, education settings and health providers to make sure services that are designed and delivered for children and young people with SEND are what is wanted and needed.  Families are involved from the very beginning, actively included, as they know the needs of their children best.

‘For more information about becoming a member of the PCC, please see our website www.parentcarerscornwall.org.uk ‘
