From 18 November 2025, Companies House identity verification is now a mandatory requirement for all company directors and people with significant control (PSCs).
As a registered Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), Venton is authorised to complete this verification on your behalf. We initiate the identity-verification request, and you complete the process on your device by uploading your ID and taking a live photo. Once approved, companies House sends your personal code directly to you, which you’ll need to share with us.

What Is an ACSP?
An Authorised Corporate Service Provider is a regulated professional, such as an accountant, approved by Companies House to verify identities for corporate roles.
This mean Venton can:
- Initiate and manage your identity-verification request
- Perform all required AML-regulated checks
- Submit verification to Companies House on your behalf
- Ensure your personal code is issued correctly by Companies House
- Provide secure storage and ongoing compliance support
With our ACSP status, you do not need to navigate GOV.UK One Login or upload documents yourself unless you prefer to.
Who Must Complete Identity Verification?
Identity verification is now compulsory for:
- All company directors
- All PSCs (people with significant control)
- Individuals being appointed as directors or PSCs
- Individuals holding roles across multiple companies
If verification is not completed, Companies House will not accept your confirmation statement and penalties may apply.

Share your code with us
Regardless of if Venton manages your confirmation statement or not, you must provide your personal code so we can link your verified identity.
