We are so pleased to hear that following the Run Plymouth event on the 28th of April, First Light has smashed their original fundraising target of £3500! As of 2nd May, a huge £3,640 has been raised (taking into account other fundraising pages and cash sponsorship) and we are still seeing donations come in…

The Charity
Every penny raised by the teams from Venton, First Light and Heligan goes to supporting individuals of any age, gender or sexuality who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse or sexual violence. Funds will be used to provide excellent quality services, but also deliver innovative new services in response to the changing needs of those affected by abuse. Our Runners!
Sophie and Georgie were flying the flag from the Venton office, and both completed the 5K without walking, despite the huge hill at the end of the course!
Sophie said:
“Having the opportunity to take part in the ‘Run Plymouth’ event was a fantastic opportunity both personally and for Venton. Not only have we been able to raise vital funds for the charity as part of our Charity of the Year Partnership, but the sense of achievement having completed (and ran) the whole 5K course was fantastic. The atmosphere was incredible, and we can’t wait for the next fundraiser.”
